| Board of Good Government Hacia la Esperanza Caracol: Mother of the Caracoles of the Sea of our Dreams To the People of Mexico To the People of the World To our companeros and companeras To the members of the Other Campaign of Mexico To the members of the International Zezta 1.- We publicly denounce what Felipe Calderon Hinojosa, leader of the government of Mexico's rich, is doing. We also denounce what Juan Sabines Guerrero, governor of the landowners and paramilitaries of Chiapas, is doing. 2.- On the 18th of August, 2007, between 11am and noon on a Saturday, 6 helicopters arrived to displace the towns of San Manuel and Buen Samaritano. The towns are accused of destroying the mountains of the ecological reserve Montes Azules. 3.- In the town of San Manuel, [police] forces arrived violently and gave the inhabitants no time to respond. The women and children were threatened with firearms and the men were forced to board the helicopters, along with everyone present in the own. 4.- While everyone was being forced to board the helicopters, the state and federal police, 90 of whom are believed to be members of police corporations, organized themselves into 2 groups. One of these groups was responsible for demolishing the houses of San Manuel and robing the few belongings that could be found within the homes. The other group continued ensuring that all residents of San Manuel boarded the helicopters. 5.- Similar actions were also carried out in the town of Buen Samaritano. Seven people were taken from Buen Samaritano. Their names are unknown. 6.- The list of people forced to leave the town of San Manuel: Dominga Cruz Hernandez, 28 years Fermina Ruiz Jimenez, 16 years Mario Lopez Gomez, 50 yeras Nicolas Hernandez Toledo, 40 years Feliciano Lopez Hernandez, 20 years Margarita Lopez Hernandez, 19 years Juan Lopez Gomez, 45 years Tomas Lopez Gomez, 50 years Romelia ,27 years Jacinta Jimenez Clara, 34 years Lazaro Ruiz Jimenez, 18 years Mario Ruiz Jimenez, 14 years Micaela Ruiz Jimenez, 13 years Juana Jimenez Ruiz, 11 years Manuela Ruiz Jimenez, 9 years Francisca Ruiz Jimenez, 7 years Eusebio Ruiz Jimenez, 4 years Mario Ruiz Jimenez, 1 year Jacinto Jimenez Cruz, 10 years Domingo Jimenez Cruz, 10 years Micaela Jimenez Cruz, 8 years Nicolás Jimenez Cruz, 5 years Francisca Jimenez Cruz, 2 year Nicolasa López Ruiz ,10 years Manuel Lopez Hernandez, 4 years Mario Lopez Lopez, 2 years Nicolasa Lopez Lopez, 5 months Darinel Garcia, 10 years Sebastian Garcia, 6 years Heriberto Garcia , 8 years Fidencio Garcia, 3 years Another child, 1 year The whereabouts of these men, women and children are unknown.
